Digg’s crown being threatened by Hubdub upstarts
It looks like Hubdub is proving to be quite a challenge to Digg.com, last year’s winner of Mashable’s Open Web Awards for Best Social News site. According to Mashable’s blog post today:
In the week since kicking off the voting round of The Open Web Awards, there have been nearly 40,000 votes cast across our 26 different categories. In Social News, last year’s winner Digg is seeing strong competition from upstarts HubDub and HARO (Help a Reporter Out).
Could Hubdub steal Digg’s crown? Our loyal Hubdubbers are certainly behind us and have been registering their vote daily. Register your vote for today below - just enter your email address and you’ll be sent a confirmation email. (The competition rules mean that you have to vote every day!)
