Who will prevail? Clinton or Obama?
By Ryan (US Politics Editor)
The 2008 race to become the President of the United States is the most hotly contested in a generation. In all respects 2008 should be a year for the Democrats. Most think a Democratic President is likely next January, but the biggest problem seems to be on deciding who should lead the party.
Hillary Clinton once the established Democratic nominee has been unseated by Barack Obama. Although it’s mathematically impossible for Clinton to regain the lead in either the popular vote or the pledged delegate count she’s continued to fight against the tide.
Obama has to a large extent redirected his sights towards McCain but until he can clinch the nomination he’ll have to deal with Clinton in the background. The superdelegate tide has now moved to his favor as well but it still seems Mrs. Clinton’s in it to win it or doom the party to failure if she calculates wrong.
The race for the White House is far from over, but can the all but dead Clinton campaign beat the odds? Doubtful but stranger things have happened!
Who will be the 2008 Democratic Candidate for President?
